What is speech pathology?

Speech pathology, also known as speech therapy or speech language pathology, is a range of assessment practices and interventions aimed at treating speech and communication issues such as stuttering, articulation or phonology disorders (speech sound disorders), language disorders or literacy difficulties. These issues can develop in childhood or adulthood.
